Another cold day but a performance to warm a captain’s heart, especially from our bowlers. With Darren away on baby duties Stuart and Ray retained the opening attack and both produced a solid opening spell without any luck, but the introduction of Amir (5-15) and Danny (4-18) proved decisive as West Bergolt struggled to get a foothold in the game, the only resistance coming from their #4 as they capitulated to a meagre total of 75, Tony collecting the final wicket in the 35th over.
In reply our top order woes continued as Jack, Simon and then Paul wasted a chance for some crease time but Danny and Rasanga restored order and knocked off the required runs for a 7 wicket victory.
